I know I don't normally post an entry for our monthly celeb spotlight, but the celeb this month is different. Those of you who watch
Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! probably recognized the picture of Kazu Nagahama instantly. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, go
here and watch. I can honestly say the skit is pretty funny even if you aren't a big Tim and Eric fan. I chose Kazu because he is one of the more than just a recognizable face from the skit, he is an ambassador of tiny hats. Actually, I believe his exact words were, "THE REAL ORIGINAL tiny hat spokesman." No doubt referring to
SNL and the scandal they had back in September. His current aspirations are to appear on Conan. Maybe readers here at Tiny Hats Weekly could help give Conan a nudge in Kazu's direction. If you want to help, there is a twitter campaign going on now. Just start tweeting Conan and using tags like #Conan #teamcoco along with the tag #kazuonconan to try and get the attention of the right people.

Forget about SNL's tiny hat skit.Kazu Nagahama is the "Main Man" with this joke. I support Kazu and hope to see him in more media!
ReplyDeleteWith the Tim and Eric skit the focus of the joke was on the tiny hats, while SNL the hats could have been replaced with anything and the joke would have still worked. As much as I love SNL, I think they were just jumping on the bandwagon with that one. Remember, help tweet Kasu onto Conan!
