Party City

A while back a reader sent in a picture of her and her son modeling some tiny hats while shopping at a Party City.  That got me thinking.  Party City is a huge chain in the U.S.  Yes it is mostly party supplies, but they do have costumes year round as well.  The photo collage above is composed of just a few of the small hats available on Party City's website.  They have some mini hats as low as $2.99, which I think is great if you are on a budget.  That little cowgirl hat on the bottom right is only $4.99.  I am all for the handcrafted works of art that can be found at boutiques and websites like Etsy, but it is nice to know an affordable option exists from a reputable source.

A Community of Tiny Hats

If you haven't watched Community yet, I highly suggest you check it out.  The characters start sporting tiny hats as early as the second episode of season one.  Though, the Dean and his feminine costumes are usually the reason for the fashion cameo.

Costume Party? Covered!

Halloween is fast approaching, dear ghouls and goblins.  But fear not!  There is still a few more star filled nights to get that perfect tiny hat for your costume!  Haute Head Designs has many hats perfect for the coming holiday, even some normal sized ones.  Of course, we care more about the itsy bitsy hats here.  My favorite is the kawaii tiny witch hat seen at the top of the page.  Which do you like best?

The Tiny Witching Hour

Still looking for accessories for your Halloween costume?  Or maybe something festive for a party coming up?  These adorable tiny witch hats come from Lil Texas Charms.  I think these hats are just as perfect for adults as they are for kids.  Which one to you like best?

Spooky Spell Caster

With Halloween approaching, I plan to share more and more  Trick or Treat worthy hats.  Elle Belle Couture sells photo props for children, so they naturally has tiny hats in stock for the coming holiday.  They have more than just the spooky seasonal style, but I think I prefer a cute little spell caster.  Which hat do you like best?

A (Tiny) Hat for Every Occasion

At Joei Reed Custom Millinery there is almost literally a small hat for any occasion.  I love the witch hat with the veil.  Very cute.  The mini cowboy hat is also completely adorable.  Which do you like best?

Glitz, Glamor, and Tiny Hats

This one is my favorite.

Jenkitty's Closet isn't your usual Victorian/steampunk inspired tiny hats. These hats range in size (small to mini) and style.  Some are glitzy, some have cogs, and the one directly below has an Asian feel.  There are even a couple of witch hats on display.  (I think we have more than proven you can properly design and sell tiny witch hats.)

I love this witch hat.

Gaia Noir

Today we have some tiny hats all the way from Scotland.  Gaia Noir focuses on Alternative and Steampunk fashion (all historically inspired).  One of the best parts is that they are made Eco-friendly.  What really caught my eye was that there are pleanty of styles you don't see very often in tiny hats, like the tricorn above.  What do you think of these hats styles?

I think I am gaining a fetish for undersized witch hats.

Whimsical Tiny Witches

For Friday, I give your eyes some cute tiny witch hats courtesy of Whimsical Witchery.  Unique floral witch hats that make me think of a nature inspired witch costume.  Anyone up for the challenge?

A cute little bird!

Itsy Bitsy Spider

What makes a tiny hat work is when the wearer makes it work.  Yes, that tiny spider witch hat looks ridiculous, but the model in the pic looks like she is having a blast.  That is why I love this pic.

I Want to Play Dress Up!

Pirate fairy or tiefling with wings?

Looking fabulous.

"Of course I am smiling!  I am wearing a tiny hat, after all!"

The beautiful thing about a tiny hat is how versatile the trend really is.  We have stated on here many times that tiny hats are great for costumes/cosplay as well as formal functions.  The pictures above feature hats from First Sight Creations.  Their tagline reads, "crafts to fall in love with," and if you love tiny hats you will.  They have many, many themes to their hats such as steampunk, fantasy, floral, and even tiny witch hats.  I think we all know by now how important I think it is not to settle with a tiny witch hat.  I love how truly happy she looks in the pictures.  If you are going to model a tiny hat, you need to look happy.  How could anyone NOT be happy wearing a tiny hat?

Some samples from First Sight Creations.
These have to be some of the better tiny witch hats I have seen so far.

Big Head's Tiny Hats

Got to love a tiny derby with a butterfly.
This picture was sent to me from Big Head's Tiny Hats.  I love the butterfly accent.  I also love seeing tiny hats in styles other than the traditional top hat.  Speaking of, can anyone find a tiny cowboy hat?  But back to Big Head's Tiny Hats.  They have quite a selection of styles for the tiny hat lovers. . . even witch hats!
Material Girl was my personal favorite!

Tiny Witches Need Love Too

A couple weeks ago I made a post that included a picture of a "tiny witch hat" that just seemed off to me.  If you missed that post, you can catch up here.  I am thankful to say that site is not the only store that has tiny witch hats.  While I was shopping Etsy.com for tiny hats I came across a shop called Grace of the Goddess by Shilen.  (Yes, I am aware I spend a little to much time on Etsy, but sometimes handmade is the best.)  This shop is great for geeky accessories, but what really caught my eye was the tiny witch hats.

There are more variations at Grace of the Goddess, but I thought these two really had the spirit of a witch.  I would love to see someone send in a picture or three of them sporting one of these awesome hats.  Preferably making a better face than previous witch hat models.

If you aren't into tiny witch hats, that is ok.  I have some other samples from Grace of the Goddess that I really liked:
